Charles Acker had another strong outing on the mound for Maranatha.

Acker went six strong Thursday, allowing one run on two hits, and striking out 8 Valley Christian batters.

He also helped his own cause with two hits and two runs scored.

The Minutemen defeated the Crusaders, 11-1, in an Olympic League game.

Five Maranatha players had at least two hits.

Marco Martinez went 3 for 3, including a double and two RBIs.

Casey Popham drove in three runs and had two hits.

Max Blessinger and Kalani Chang each had two hits and an RBI.

The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday, but rain forced the game to stop and moved to Thursday.

Maranatha will be back at it today (Friday) when they travel to Village Christian at 3:30
