It seems each time Poly wins a softball game, Brennah Bronk has a starring role.
Bronk went the first 5 innings on Thursday and surrendered one hit and struck out 9.
At the plate, she had three hits, with two doubles and three runs scored.
Poly would use that and cruise to a 10-3 victory over Westridge in a Prep League contest.
Catalina Alonso had a huge afternoon as well.
Alonso doubled, drove in three runs and scored four.
Gillian Denham and Jacqueline Garrity each got hit by pitch and scored runs.
Megan Kelleher and Ella Cornwell had two hits apiece.
Poly and Chadwick stand atop the Prep League standings, as both have begun league play 2-0.
IO Jette-Kouri went 2 for 3 and drove in all three runs for the Tigers.
Demi Oscar went all 6 innings and allowed 10 runs (8 earned) on 10 hits, walked 6 and struck out 6 Poly batters.
Jessica Beskind and Demi Oscar had the other two hits for Westridge.
Poly won’t play again until April 4, when they take on Firebaugh..
Westridge has the same opponent, but the Tigers play Firebaugh on Tuesday at 3:45.
