Jeff Daley did everything he could Thursday afternoon to help La Salle start league play with a victory.

The junior pitcher went 5 1/3 innings and didn’t allow an earned run.

Daley faced 20 batters and allowed four hits, walked none and struck out two to earn the victory.

At the plate, Daley had a base hit, scored and drove in a run.

La Salle shortstop Ethan Patrick went 3 for 4, including a single, double triple and 3 RBIs.

Patrick was just as flashy in the field, and was credited with 7 assists on defense.

Justin Zuniga closed out the Cavaliers in style.

The senior went the final 1 2/3 innings, and got four of his five outs via strikeout.

John Jackson had two of Serra’s four hits and scored the lone Cavalier’s run.

La Salle will host St. Paul today (Friday) at 4, as Del Rey League play continues.
