Marshall started the season a dismal 1-8.

But in the first two games in the Mission Valley League race, the Eagles are now 2-0 and have outscored their opponents by a combined score of 33-1.

On Wednesday, Marshall hammered Gabrielino, 17-0.

Two days later, the Eagles crushed Rosemead, 16-1 and all of a sudden, things are looking bright.

Alex Nava went 3 for 4, with two runs scored and drove in four runs.

Ian Cox went 3 for 3 with a run scored and he drove in two more.

Thomas Arnst went 2 for 4 with three runs scored.

Matthew Arnst only had one official at-bat, but he had one hit and scored four runs.

Kendall Moran had two hits, a run scored and an RBI.

Diego Zambrana went 3 for 5 with two runs scored and two runs batted in.

Moran also went five innings, allowing one earned run on three hits and he struck out five batters.

Marshall will continue league play on Wednesday when they host Arroyo at 3:15.
