Flintridge Prep jumped into third place after defeating Mayfield, 3-1, Tuesday in a Prep League contest.
Therise Oshiro went the distance, and got the win after giving up just one run on four hits.
Maia Cohen had a solo home run for the Rebels.
Libby Penn went 3 for 3 with an RBI and Olivia Stevens drove in the other run for Prep.
Madeline Biscaichipy had a base hit and RBI for the Cubs.
Jaylin Domingo, Julia Watson and Madeline Hotaling had the three other hiits for Mayfield, and Watson scored the lone run for the Cubs.
Jaylin Domingo went all six for Mayfield, allowing three runs on eight hits and was saddled with the loss.
Domingo didn’t walk a batter and struck out four.
Mayfield will host Rio Hondo Prep tomorrow (Wednesday) at 3:30, and Prep will host San Gabriel Mission on Friday at 3:30.
