Flintridge Prep is starting to pull away from the pack in the Prep League title race.
The Rebels got a serious challenge from visiting Poly on Friday.
But Prep earned a 25-19, 25-11, 25-27 and 25-21 victory.
Majeed Ismail led the Rebels with a season-high 14 kills and he also added 5 blocks.
AJ Nicassio also added in 11 kills on the day, and Jake Althouse had a career high 8 blocks.
Jonny Samuels also chipped in with 7 kills.
Junior middle hitter Graham Olson led Poly with 6 kills
Senior Will McConnell had a team-best 25 assists.
James Olson, a Panthers middle hitter led Poly with 8 blocks.
Prep will basically cross the street on Monday when they go to take on La Canada in a nonleague contest.
Poly hosts second-place Firebaugh on Tuesday at 3:30
