The bats that came alive last week during the St. Paul Tournament for St. Francis were silenced by Alemany’s Blaine Traxel.

The Golden Knights managed just three hits and fell, 7-0, Tuesday in a Mission League game at the Glendale Sports Complex.

Jacob Bechtold, Brandon Lewis and John Spellman had the three singles for St. Francis.

Evan Tontini picked up the loss after giving up three runs (two earned) over six innings.

Tontini allowed four hits, walked four and struck out six.

JP Caire went 2/3 of an inning and surrendered three runs on two walks, but didn’t give up a hit.

Chris Stamos went 1/3 of an inning and allowed one run on three hits.

St. Francis will travel to Alemany tomorrow (Wednesday) at 3:30 as the three-game series continues.
