Mission League pitching continues to quiet the St. Francis bats.

Daniel Ritcheson went the distance and allowed one unearned run to lead Alemany to a 3-1 victory over the visiting Golden Knights on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-4 pitcher allowed just two hits, walked five and struck out 12 to earn the victory.

Aaron Treloar and Niko Khoury had the lone base hits off Ritcheson.

Hayden Byrnes got the loss after allowing three runs over four innings.

Byrnes scattered five hits, walked four and struck out six.

The Golden Knights scored their lone run in the seventh inning when Jacob Becthold reached base on an error and it allowed Nolan Shwery to score.

Alemay has won the first two of their three-game series with St. Francis.

Ryan DeVore went the final two innings for St. Francis and didn’t allow a run.

Danny Veloz went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and Jesse Parraz drove in the third run for Alemany.

The final game of the series will take place Friday at the Glendale Sports Complex at 3:30.
