Quotable:
Maranatha coach Matt Shupper: “These guys played their hearts out today and had one tough inning which, none of them have ever experienced an inning like that as a Minuteman. It’s not fun to learn lessons, but these guys learned today some things that will help build on the ability to be a better team. Heritage did a great job today and I don’t want to take anything away from them. We lost and now need to play better down the stretch. I’m confident in this team and know we will be better from a loss like this.”
Maranatha senior Eddie Lopez: “The team played well today, but just fell short. Our pitching and hitting was on point all the way up to the 6th inning where we fell apart a bit. We battled back in the last inning but just couldn’t catch up. This team has faith and confidence in each other, this was just another little bump but we know we still have the capability to take it all.”
