It is true that Poly’s Prep League rival won the Prep League championship for the fifth consecutive time.

Flintridge Prep, with a sweep over Firebaugh, clinched that spot on Tuesday.

But no team is entering the playoffs on a higher note than Poly.

The Panthers continued their torrid streak with a 25-14, 25-23 and 25-21 victory at Chadwick to end the regular season on Tuesday.

John Genske led Poly with 9 kills.

Graham Olson added 5 kills, 3 aces and 2 blocks.

Richard Barry contributed 8 kills and 2 blocks.

Will McConnell led Poly with 30 assists and Matt Alison added 6 kills, 2 aces and a block.

The CIF-SS playoff brackets come out this Friday, and Poly will be the No. 2 seed from the Prep League.
