Brianna Sanchez wanted to make sure that Alverno had a perfect 2017 in the Horizon League.
Sanchez went all five innings, allowing an unearned run and struck out 10.
Sanchez also doubled twice, scored once and drove in two runs.
All of that led Alverno to an 11-1 victory over San Gabriel Mission and the Jaguars finish their Horizon League schedule 10-0.
Delaney Brancheau went 3 for 4 with a run scored and drove in two runs.
Isabella Fyson doubled, drove in two runs and scored once.
Natalie Scigliano had two hits, including a double, scored twice and drove in one run.
Alex Barosso went 2 for 3 with two doubles, three runs scored, she drove in two runs.
Clarissa Gianoli had two hits, including a triple. She scored once and had one RBI.
Alverno pounded out 15 hits in the mercy-rule victory.
