Notre Dame is certainly heading into the playoffs on a high note.
Some 48 hours after hammering St. Francis pitching for 13 runs, the Knights were back at it on Wednesday afternoon.
Notre Dame rode the arms of Carter Kessinger and Ryan Winters to shut out visiting St. Francis, 7-0, in a Mission League contest.
Kessinger went the first six innings and allowed three hits, walked two and struck out four to earn the win.
Winters pitched a scoreless seventh to close out the Golden Knights.
St. Francis got two hits from junior Christian Muro and one each from Niko Khoury and Brandon Lewis.
Hunter Greene has feasted on Golden Knights pitching thus far.
Two days after going 3 for 5 with two home runs, Greene went 3 for 4 on Wednesday with another home run, and he drove in three more runs.
Kessinger helped his own cause with two hits, a run scored and he drove in a run.
The Knights were able to collect 9 hits and 7 runs off Mike Kane and Aaron Treloar combined.
Notre Dame and St. Francis will face off one last time in the regular season finale, today at the Glendale Sports Complex at 6.
