From Staff Reports

No one is quite sure the exact number since Muir won their last Pacific League softball game.

We do know, though, that it’s been at least 147 games.

On MaxPreps, a site for high school scores and schedules, Muir had not won a game since their earliest results, dating back to 2005.

But all that changed on Thursday when a freshman ended the skid.

Lucy Aragon went all 8 innings to earn the victory, and the Mustangs actually trailed late.

Pasadena led 10-8, and Muir had Amber Davis on first base.

Lucy Aragon singled, Ndaya Jordan reached base when she bunted safely, and the next batter, Deseray Leagons, doubled to tie the game at 10-10.

In the top of the eighth, with one out, Aragon got a lot of help from Erica Morales and Yeimy Hernandez, both of whom made spectacular catches to end the inning.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Morales tripled and Hernandez singled her home for the game-winning run.

We will update exact numbers of the losing streak’s official number, and the date of Muir’s last win in this story when and if we receive them from the PUSD athletic director Gilbert Barraza.
