John Muir High School advances to CIF D4 prelims, they are crowned the Pacific League Champs in three categories: 100 meters Elijah Blades, 4X100 team Darren Meyers, Elijah Blades, Aaron Wilson, anchored by Jonathan Stephens. 110 hurdles, Micah Fulton, she is top five in all of CIF in triple jump 39’5″ feet; 19’2.5″ long jump, she placed 2nd in Pacific League. These amazing athletes will compete tomorrow: CIF Prelims, Saturday May 13, 2017 at Carpinteria High School. Field events begin at 11:00, running events at noon.
The Mustangs are under the leadership of Coach Jenkins. Coach Terry Jenkins has been the Mustang Varsity Boys and Girls track coach for the last five years. He is a 1999 Mustang! During high school, he was a hurdler and competed in the 110m & 300m hurdles. Additionally, he ran in the relays. Mr. Jenkins earned a track scholarship to Michigan State University 2000-2004 and earned his BA in Kinesiology. The track team is made up of Asst. Coach Jacques, volunteer jumps Coach Clayton Tave and Athletic Trainer Coach Trevor Graham.
