Ella Mao didn’t waste any time in asserting her dominance.
After remarkable freshman season’s by Ella and sister Zoey, the Panthers made their first appearance of the 2017 season on the road.
And despite dropping the first and third sets, the Panthers showed their mettle in a five-set victory at San Marino.
Poly earned a 21-25, 25-20, 19-25, 25-20 and 15-12 victory over the Titans to open the 2017 season.
Ella Mao led the way with 17 kills.
Kate Salembier added 11 kills for the Panthers.
Debbie Hong had 10 kills.
Halston Harper chipped in with 6 blocks.
Poly will head to Santa Barbara Saturday to take on Laguna Blanca.
