Any time a match comes down to a one-stroke differential on the scoreboard, it is likely the losing team will go through their minds and count the number of times a shot here or there could have changed the outcome.
And that is likely the case for coach Dale Rasmussen’s program at Poly.
South Pasadena defeated Poly, 232-233, at Almansor.
Victoria Tskvitchvili had the low score of the match for South Pasadena.
She shot a 36, and she was three strokes lower than Poly’s top finisher (Taryn Kim), who finished with a 39.
Lauren Park finished with a 40 and Maddy Kwei shot a 42 for Poly.
Rounding out the Poly top-five were Lauren Goedde (54) and Chloe Cho (58).
The next closest South Pasadena score to Tskvitchvili’s 36 was Katherine Anthony, who was 9 strokes behind their leader with a 45.
Nicole Srisutham had a 46, Miranda Cheung a 52 and Christine Mao shot a 53 to round out the South Pasadena top 5
