Flintridge Prep is usually the underdog when they play a Prep League match.
But coach Sean Beattie’s program fights in good and bad times to the end.
That effort continued Tuesday night.
Flintridge Prep battled Chadwick to the end, but the Dolphins edged the Rebels in 5 games.
Chadwick earned a 25-17, 25-27, 19-25, 25-16 and 15-13 victory.
Jada Gritton had 16 kills.
Libby Penn added 14 kills.
And Courtney Johnson finished with 11 kills.
Ellen Chang had a career-high 51 digs and Ani Bernardi also had a career-best 53 assists.
The Rebels are now 12-8 overall, and 4-7 in the Prep League, which puts them in fifth place.
Prep will face first-place Westridge on Thursday night at 5:15.
