Jaylin Domingo wanted to make sure Mayfield kept its one-game lead over Poly in the Prep League title chase.
Domingo went the distance and led Mayfield to a 7-2 victory on Tuesday.
She didn’t allow an earned run and struck out four.
Domingo also went 2 for 3 with a pair of RBIs and a run scored.
Julia Watson went 3 for 3, stole two bases, scored twice and had one RBI.
Malayna Domingo doubled and scored and defensively, she had three putouts and six assists.
The Cubs will host second-place Poly in a huge Prep League showdown on Thursday.
