Maranatha continues to rely on timely hitting and the ever reliable right arm of pitcher Devyn Netz.
The Minutemen earned a pair of victories this week.
On Tuesday, MHS defeated Village Christian, 4-0, and two days later, they earned an 11-1 mercy-rule victory over Whittier Christian in six innings.
Netz allowed one unearned run on two hits.
She didn’t walk a batter and struck out nine batters.
Caroline Diehl went 2 for 4, including a bases-clearing double in the third inning, and her sixth-inning double ended the game after taking the 10-run lead.
Aly Granados went 4 for 4 with three singles and a double, and Netz went 2 for 3.
Freshman Alyssa Liksey got the loss after allowing 11 runs (10 earned) on 14 hits.
Maranatha will travel to Heritage Christian next Thursday at 3:30 in another Olympic League game.
