Poly’s season may have ended earlier than coach Steve Beerman wanted.
But the Panthers are very young and have become a program to look out for in 2017.
For 2016, though, it’s a wrap.
South Pasadena defeated Poly in four games.
Halston Harper led Poly (13-9) with 10 kills.
The freshman Mao sisters played well, as they’ve done all season.
Ella Mao had 6 kills, 17 assists and 4 aces.
Zoey Mao added 5 kills and 15 assists.
Natalie Clark had 5 kills and Alexis Pappachan added four kills.
Poly surprised many with first-round wins of co-champions Westridge and Chadwick and were in first place for almost the first three-quarters of the Prep League race.
