Tim Treinen scored the game’s lone goal in the second half to lead the Rebels to a 1-0 victory over Chadwick on Friday.
Aidan Schraeder had 8 saves in goal for Prep.
A week after a 3-1 setback to Firebaugh, the Rebels bounce back, and Poly’s 1-1 tie with the Falcons Friday makes the Prep League race even more compelling.
Prep is hoping to avenge its earlier loss to the Falcons when they host Firebaugh Jan. 24 at 5 p.m.
But the Rebels have one nonleague game next Friday when they host Oakwood at 3:30 before they can even think about their rematch with Firebaugh.
