The Caltech men’s water polo team finished the 2016 season with a top-4 overall team GPA among teams in the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches, according to the association’s official website. The Beavers tied for fourth with Stanford Unviersity and came in just 0.03 points behind Brown University.

The individual student GPA’s are broken down into three categories: Outstanding (4.0-3.71), superior (3.70-3.41) and excellent (3.40-3.20). Senior Chris Bradley (Half Moon Bay, Calif. / Junipero Serra) and junior Eshan Govil (Redwood City, Calif. / Sacred Heart Prep) finished in the “outstanding” tier, while five Beavers made the “superior” tier and three finished within the “excellent” tier.

Bradley, a mechanical engineering option with a focus on aerospace engineering wrapped up his senior season with the Beavers as a three-time SCIAC goal scoring leader, most recently tying for the honor in 2016. He is also a two-time ACWPC All-America Honorable Mention, two-time CoSIDA Academic All-America and has made the “superior” academic tier prior to this year. Govil, a bioengineering option and computer science minor, formerly made the SCIAC All-Academic team and finished 2016 as the team’s assist leader.
